If you are travelling to Almeria for holiday and looking for a hotel, look no further than Hotel Costasol. There are many reasons for this recommendation. LOCATION – It is centrally placed in the city along a main thoroughfare. Bus 30 from the airport drops you about 6-10 mins walk from the hotel. The vast majority of the tourist sites and the promenade are within walking distance. We were there for four days and apart from the bus from/to the airport, we did not use any other transport. We walked to all the tourist sites. ROOM – The room was a good size (we had opted for a slightly bigger room) and it was done up nice. The beds were comfortable and multiple pillows were provided. The only downside for us was that there was no kettle with associated tea bags and coffee etc that hotels in UK generally provide. This was easily rectified by the front desk when we asked for a kettle. However, we had to buy the tea bags and milk at a local shop – not an issue. ROOM CLEANING – Spic and Span when we came back for a siesta after out morning touring each day. BREAKFAST – Continental breakfast is provided with ample variations. For those used to a strong cuppa (like me), I would recommend you bring some tea bags with you to breakfast as most/all the tea bags were of a flavoured or mild type. STAFF – The front desk was always manned, and all the staff were polite, helpful and always greeted you with a smile. We asked them about various things during our stay and they were always very helpful. Very good.

Last minute booking and all our requests were met. Happy, helpful staff, we speak reasonable Spanish but the staff were more than happy to speak English to us. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that, sorry. The room was emaculately clean, the bed was comfortable with 4 pillows, the shower amazing with some complimentary toiletries (we stayed in room 114). Small fridge in the room too which had 2 small bottles of water in it. Our room faced the street with a small balcony, patio doors and french doors, together with the shutter meant we heard no noise! AC unit independent so you choose the temperature. Location was great, next to the theatre, bars and restaurants, only 600 metres from the marina, indoor market, which is worth a visit. Turn left out of the hotel, left after the theatre and work your way through the streets to the cathedral. Enjoy your stay, both the city and hotel are fabulous. We will definitely choose it again!

All the staff members were really friendly and helpful. Location was in the center of the city, 15 min walk to the beach, 7 min walk to the Alcazaba and cathedral, 5 min walk to get a bus (costs are €1,05 pp) to Centro Commercial and a 12 min ride to the airport by taxi or about 20 min with the bus (also €1,05). The hotel also has a very nice rooftop on the 6th floor with an amazing view. The room had a bathtub, shampoo, new towels everyday, bed was made everyday and also clean floors.

Lovely hotel ideal for our one night stay whilst in transit from Barcelona to Los Gallardos, arrived early and although our original room wasnt ready the receptionist quickly changed us to the same room on a different floor that was ready most accomodating and helpful, the room was clean, a fair size, comfy bed, location perfect for us only 10 min walk to bus station, breakfast was good if a bit basic (no hot food) but still plenty of choice

One night stay at the end of my tour of Andalucia. Convenient access from Almeria Station. Supermarket a short walk away. Decent sized, quiet, nice looking room. Staff were great and helped me get a taxi to the airport. I didn't get around to trying their breakfast menu but I'm sure that it would have been great. I would like to stay there for several nights in future.
